the world was once a garden
but i think it still is
just a concrete jungle filled with animals
some of you are rats
untrustworthy vermin with legs
some of you are dogs
loyal to your owners but lost without them
and i know they call me a snake
but its not for my lies, i’m honest
it’s my venom
you see hate is effortless for me
come time, one strike is all takes
one bite to take the apex predator down
i’m not as sweet as a rabbit
i’m not as strong as a lion
i’m not as regal as a deer
i’m a fragile snake
afraid of those who step too close
afraid to be stepped on
so I have my venomous bite
